Since I posted my previous query, my email address has changed. Also, I found out that Johanna Zilphia Walker was the widow of H. H. Walker born in Tennessee. The names Mathilda, Flossie and Detweiller Phillips are not relations but Harry Gable was a friend of Alice's. Alice and her mother may have moved to Galveston after 1900. Alice was working for Geo. C. Lilley in the 1899-1900 census. Johanna resided at 505 St. Louis Ave. in Fort Worth (1896-97 City directory) and had rooms at 126 W. Tucker in 1899-1900. I have pictures of Alice and her mother with these addresses on the back. My goal is to find the families of Johanna and H.H. Any clues will be welcome.

I'm looking for census or a death record for David C. Gandy who live in Dallas Tx. for nearly a decade and then disappeared. He left a widowed wife (Sarah Gandy) who lived in the Fort Worth area (1907 - 1912). I have established her presence in the old Fort Worth Directories. In 1907 it lists her as (wid of David C.). I was unable to find a death record in either the 1903-1940 or the 1941-45 Death Index for Texas for either David or Sarah. If you don't have information on David C. Gandy; consider emailing me with information on Sarah, Maude, or Allen Gandy who also lived in the Dallas / Fort Worth areas. 1900 - 1912. Thanks in advance. davemiller

Does anyone know if Camp Bowie was in the Fort Worth city limits? I am looking for the death certificate of my cousin Charley E. Taylor that died at Camp Bowie on November 9, 1917. The state and the Fort Worth Health Department do not have the record. He is on the death list as certificate # 32655. The Tarrant county court house does not know about Camp Bowie but they believe it was not in the county records.

I am looking for a copy of the family Bible record of Austin Peay and Mildred Turner, which appeared in the Fort Worth Gen. Soc. Bulletin, Vol 10. (Don't know the exact date). I will pay postage and copying charges but I would rather not pay $25 for a CD with one item of interest on it. I am also willing to share any information I have concerning the descendants of Austin Peay.
