In reviewing census records, it is helpful to know which Enumeration District a particular town falls into. Does anyone know the ED's that were used for the 1910 census for the towns of Azle and Everman in Tarrant County? For example, in the 1900 census, Everman fell into ED 119 (more or less). Alternately, does anyone know the source of this type of information, such as the County Courthouse or a commercial document such as a HeritageQuest CD-ROM or Microfilm?

I am looking for information on the 1867 Walnut Creek Indian Raid that took place in Tarrant Co., TX. Sarah Allman, Myers, Hamilton was an ancestor. Evidently there was a site marker placed at the site of the raid. Sarah was killed and two daughters taken captive. One was returned and the other lived out their adult life with the indians and married and had children. I am hoping that someone has a copy of the celebration article when the marker was placed or that I can find a copy of the request for the marker which might lead to helpful information on my family. Can anyone out there help me....I would be most grateful for any help I can get. Thank you, Vicki Walberg Vacaville, CA

WEBB surname and WEBB community I am interested in knowing ANYTHING about any WEBB or about the WEBB community in Tarrant County in the early years (county inception until 1880). I have a letter written from my greatgrandfather from Farmer's Branch to his home county in SC extolling the land, and a news item about a "Capt W. H. WEBB" buying cotton in McKinney in 1866. And I have a J. E. WEBB on a jurors list in Tarrant County in 1855. My WEBBs lived in Harris County, GA with Mirabeau B. LAMAR at the time he came to Texas, and they are closely associated geographically with the AUSTIN, WALKER and LAMAR families for several moves through GA and, if we are right about the vaguer part of the lineage, in NC and VA before that. Therefore, it is not entirely unreasonable to speculate that some of the "missing" ones might have come to Texas when it was opened for settlement. ANY mention of ANY WEBB --land records, witness to will or marriage, etc. would be of utmost value to me. Thank you very much!

I am looking for information on the parents of Frank Penn Coffey who was born in 1862 either in Tarrant County or somewhere in Tennessee. I believe he died in Tarrant County on Sept. 12, 1956, but do not have proof yet. I have recently heard from a family member that his father was killed on the Ft. Worth courthouse steps while making a political speech. Surely that would have made into the newspaper that was published at that time. I believe it would have been between 1870 and 1880. The courthouse burned in 1876, but I don't know whether the two events are connected. Any help you can give me in knowing where to find this information would be appreciated.

Would anyone know of a photograph of or an account of the life of William J. BRYCE, former Mayor of Fort Worth and a partner of the developers of Arlington Heights neighborhood? He is the brother of my Great-Grandfather, Alexander BRYCE of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, who visited Fort Worth and presumably his brother William in 1893 and died there of typhus. My Grandmother, Marion Eleanor BRYCE (DIBBEN) was his youngest child when he died quite young. Some of the other BRYCE family settled in Toronto, Ontario, Canada after emmigrating from Scotland. I would also be happy to correspond with any remaining descendants of William J. BRYCE. I have access to the BRYCE Bible from Scotland and the genealogy of the family especially in Canada.
