Hello, I am trying to find information about Wm. R. Joyce and family, one-time land owners in Colleyville, TX. Where do I go to get information on burial sites of family members and wills? We are trying to stop Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery from selling land once owned by the Joyces to a housing developer. A rumor has come up about a family member maybe being buried on this land prior to the sale by the family. This is probably more information than you cared to know so please excuse me. I did visit the Tarrant County Courthouse, but was only able to get property abstracts and deeds. No listings of wills for any of the names listed on these documents. Thanks so much for your help. Are Tarrant County public records on the internet, and if so, how can they be accessed? Looking for information that would tell me the date my grandfather, Amaziah Lawing, and his brother Thomas settled in Johnson Station, Tarrant County. I think tax records would tell me this. Thank you.

My ggrandparents, John and Martha Holland, came to Dallas Co Tx in 1849 from Rhea Co TN. They were in the household of my grandfather, William Jefferson and Rachel Caroline Wasson Holland in the 1850 Dallas Co census. In 1851 John and William Jefferson owned land in Tarrant Co in the Birdville-Mansfield area. Info from Rhea Co TN relatives say they died in that area during the 1850's and are buried in that area possibly the Grapevine area.Their daughter, Patience Holland Thompson Piles and her husband William W Piles and six Thompson children and six Pile children also came with them. WW pile and Patience had another daughter, Caroline Malinda, b in the D/FW area. William W died in 1851. Patience later moved to the Shakelford Co TX area. Caroline Malinda later m a James Bledsoe and they all moved to Marlow Co Oklahoma where Patience died. I would like to know where John and Martha are buried, and need to contact any descendant of Carolina Malinda. John and Martha also had a son,John E Holland who lived next door to them in 1850. He and his family were still in Dallas Co in 1860 census. If you have info on any of these Hollands, please contact me. Thanks, Ruth Holland Collins rcollins@risecom.net

My grandmothers brother was murdered in Fort Worth in 1927. What I would like to find out is what happened to the men who committed the crime. Their names are Roy Wilson and Cecil Chambers. They were most likely convicted of murder. They may have died in prison. They may have gotten the death penalty. My great uncle's name was Roscoe Wilson (no relation to the other)and the crime was committed on Jan. 31,1927. These men were caught and arrested the same or maybe the next day. Thanks for any help.
